California

Uh...

Most people that have that mindset usually never succeed, end up poor, and have to move back to their home (trust me, California gets thousands and thousands of people coming in every year with this "bright idea"; there's enough of you). Plus they can't afford to live there in the first place. TAXES ARE SO DAMN HIGH, RENT IS 1200+ A MONTH IN SO.CAL FOR A ONE FUCKIN' BEDROOM APARTMENT. The economy is shit in that state, the immigration is horrendous, as well as the unemployment. There aren't fucking celebrities on every corner for you to freak out over, the beaches are cold because water gets pushed down from Alaska, have fun in traffic and getting your stuff stolen no matter what neighborhood you're in (of course unless you make over six figures a year hurrhurr), and it's pretty much a tourist trap in most areas. 

Yes, California has nice weather though, and a lot to see... But unless you plan on pursuing a legitimate career/going to school in California, or plan on living there without having the bullshit IMMA BE A CELEBRITEH HUEHEUE mindset, then go for it. I actually plan on moving to Cali in a few years because I want to be closer to my other part of the family. Not looking forward to the rent though! To even it all out, California isn't much better than any other state. If you're looking for nicer beaches, invest in Florida. If you're looking for desert and cool sights, Nevada is a lot cheaper. Northern Cali is cheaper overall, but not by much. If you want woodsy areas like Nor.Cal, go to Oregon or Washington. HELL TENNESSEE HAS DEM MOUNTAINS AND TREES. TREES EVERYWHERE.
